WOW, a food destination in the French Quarter. Some of the freshest seafood in the city. Cooked/grilled to perfection and plenty to eat. Super fresh, lots of bold flavors, staff was fast and upbeat. Do not miss this place, worth the wait, that's right, always a wait getting in. There is a reason for that, GREAT FOOD...

The Char-grilled oysters and AMAZINGLY!!! And bread that's served with it is soft yet flakey. Had to wait in a line to enter restaurant but it was brief. Service is fast and friendly. Atmosphere is loud, casual & tightly packed. I enjoyed this spot & will most definitely be back.

It may seem touristy, but ACME is the bomb! Oysters are incredibly fresh and their jambalaya is still my favorite on the planet. The guys behind the bar are enjoyable and very skilled. Don't be afraid of the waiting line. Bring you a cocktail and converse with the local denizens while you wait for a fantastic, well prepared meal.

I have been to New Orleans almost a dozen times and the only thing that I have ever done each and every time I go is have the grilled oysters at Acme Oyster House. I've had them as appetizers I've had multiple orders as entrees and every single person that I bring there says the same thing the food is fabulous the wait staff are awesome the atmosphere is great. If you are in New Orleans you are not doing yourself Justice if you don't go to Acme Oyster House. I will warn you there is always a line sometimes short but sometimes, a lot of times the line can be pretty long. It is well worth the wait. If you're not one to wait in line the best time to go is during the week right about when they open you have a better chance of not waiting in line. On the weekends around dinner time it's a pretty long line. But they do move people through quickly and efficiently. You can go in and get a drink at the bar and take it out into the line and make some new friends. I always do.

Awesome place. I had a dozen raw oysters. Best I've had in 10 years. Jambalaya was outta this world! Shrimp and fish platter made the trip to NOLA worth it. Michael our server was so friendly.
